(1) Laws are organized into the Samish Tribal Code with a tri-part system of numbering in the form Title.Chapter.Section (STC X.YY.ZZZ).

(a) The first number is one or two digits that designates the title.

(b) The second number is two digits, with a leading zero as necessary, that designates the chapter.

(c) The third number is three digits, with leading zeros as necessary, that designates the section.

(d) Paragraphs within each section are numbered with a hierarchical numbering scheme in the form (1)(a)(i)(A)(I). Unnumbered paragraphs within sections should be avoided.

(2) Policies are organized with a tri-part system of numbering in the form Title-Chapter-Section (STP X-YY-ZZZ) in a manner otherwise consistent with the numbering of the Samish Tribal Code. [Res. 2019-12-033 § 8, 2019.]
