(1) The probation and suspension provision applies to all students receiving funding from the Samish Higher Education funds. A student will be placed on probation if they fail to meet the 2.0 term GPA or earn below the minimum credit hours earned for which they registered, either full time or part time.

(2) A student who is on probation and fails to meet the minimum GPA during the next quarter will be suspended for a minimum of one term. Written notice of the terms of the suspension, and the terms for future reconsideration for assistance, will be fully explained.

(3) In order to reapply to Samish for higher education assistance, a student who has been suspended must use their own financial resources and return to the GPA of 2.0. Proof of credit and improved grade status will be required prior to processing of additional awards.

(4) Any expense the student incurs to return to an eligible GPA is the sole responsibility of the applicant or parent(s). [Res. 2021-12-032 § 1, 2021; Res. 2021-03-014, 2021.]
