7.11.140 Designated Gatherer.
(1) Any eligible Samish citizen with a valid gathering permit issued under this chapter may submit his or her name to the Natural Resources Committee to be considered for placement on a list of “designated gatherers.” When the Natural Resources Committee grants a request under STC 7.11.130 (Gathering for Another), it shall notify a designated gatherer and issue the appropriate permit. The designated gatherer shall comply with the terms of the permit and all other applicable provisions.
(2) Eligibility requirements for designated gatherers are as follows:
(a) Have demonstrated gathering ability;
(b) Be an enrolled citizen of the Samish Indian Nation;
(c) Be at least 18 years old; and
(d) Have no Tribal gathering conviction for the previous two years. [Res. 2020-12-039, 2020.]
