(1) Federal. A writ of garnishment from a Federal court or Federal agency will be honored by the Samish Indian Nation as written in the order.

(2) Other Than Federal. State of Washington, other tribal, other states and other local government writs of garnishment will require application to the Samish Indian Nation Court in the form of a Full Faith and Credit and Order of Garnishment. The Human Resources Director is responsible for processing requests for garnishments received by the Nation. If a garnishment is received from a source other than a Federal court or Federal agency, the Human Resources Director will seek an order of the Tribal court to issue a writ of garnishment. The Human Resources Director must file all documentation with the Samish Indian Nation Court and request a Tribal court order requiring the writ of garnishment be authorized.
