Subject to the Indian Preference Policy, it is the policy of the Samish Indian Nation to accord equal treatment to all persons who apply for employment and who are employed by the Tribe. The Samish Indian Nation believes that all persons are entitled to equal employment opportunity and establishes a policy that the Tribe will not discriminate against any employee or applicant because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, marital status, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or political affiliation; provided, that compliance with the Samish Indian Nation’s Indian Preference Policy shall not constitute discrimination.
