(1) Hiring. Upon the appropriate Chief Executive Team member’s final hiring decision, the Human Resources Department will notify the applicant of his/her selection for the position and schedule an appointment for the applicant to complete the background screening for the position. Upon notification that the applicant’s background screening is clear, the Senior Human Resources Officer will contact the applicant to confirm the offer of employment, the date that the employee will start work for the Tribe and set up an orientation.

(2) Refusal of Job Offer or Termination. If the applicant declines the offer of employment or fails the background screening required for the position, the Senior Human Resources Officer will meet with the appropriate Chief Executive Team member to discuss filling the position. The appropriate Chief Executive Team member may offer the position to the next ranked applicant or direct the Senior Human Resources Officer to readvertise the position in compliance with this policy.

(3) Notification. The Senior Human Resources Officer shall promptly inform the Tribal Council and employees of all new hires. [Res. 2022-10-016 § 1, 2022. Formerly 5-03-016.]
