Employees are required to contact their supervisor within 30 minutes after the beginning of their scheduled shift on each day they will miss work. If the supervisor is unavailable, the employee will ask to speak to the next supervisor in the chain of command that is available. Employees are required to inform their supervisor of each subsequent day of absence and the reason for such absence. It is not sufficient to leave a message or voice mail message without speaking to a supervisor. If an employee is unable to reach his/her supervisor, he or she must contact another supervisor within the same department or, if none is available, the Senior Human Resources Officer. An employee who fails to report within the required time may be disciplined. If an employee is absent for three consecutive workdays without speaking with his or her supervisor, the employee may be terminated from employment with the Tribe. [Res. 2022-10-016 § 1, 2022.]
