(1) Tribal employees represent the Tribe to members of the public, co-workers, other government agencies and business partners of the Tribe. Therefore, employee’s appearance is a factor in job performance. All employees are expected to wear clothing appropriate for their workplace or environment. Employees should be neat, clean, well-groomed and present a professional business appearance at their daily location, in meetings with the public, or wherever they represent the Tribe. Employees may not wear clothing with logos of tobacco, alcohol, drugs, profanity, political, or sexual graphics of sexual nature while at work or while representing the Tribe. The employee’s supervisor, as part of employee’s departmental orientation, will notify employee of any specific dress requirements within their department.

(2) Employees who appear for work inappropriately dressed may be sent home, and directed to return to work in appropriate clothes. Under such circumstances, employees will not be compensated for the time away from work. [Res. 2022-10-016 § 1, 2022.]
