(1) Any employee who has reasonable cause to suspect that a minor and/or vulnerable adult has been abused, neglected or exploited shall report the suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation to the Tribe’s Indian Child Welfare Department, or to the Tribal Administrator for referral to the appropriate state or federal agency. Any employee who reports such abuse, neglect or exploitation may remain anonymous as permitted by applicable law. This policy does not supplant any professional mandates or reporting requirements for child and/or vulnerable adult abuse, neglect or exploitation by professional licensed employees.

(2) Any employee who reports suspected child and/or vulnerable adult abuse, neglect or exploitation in good faith should be immune from civil liability and criminal prosecution under Tribal law for making such report. [Res. 2022-10-016 § 1, 2022.]
