When hiring for the Head Start Program, preference will be extended to current or past parents involved in the Head Start Program. The employment application collects this information, applicant screening tools have a category to indicate current or past parent involvement in Head Start, and the interview questions include this category to give the interviewee that answers “yes” an additional 10 points that is factored into the parent’s total score.
