(1) Medical and Dental Insurance.

(a) During the summer break from the Head Start Program, staffing levels are subject to fluctuation dependent on the number of children enrolled in the child care and any Head Start year-round program if applicable. The ratio of staff needed for the children will dictate the number of summer staff. If unpaid leave status is indicated, individuals on unpaid leave status who are expected to return to their positions at the onset of the Fall Head Start Program will continue to receive group medical and dental insurance benefits over the summer break. Those employees will reimburse the Tribe for their portion of their summer health insurance premiums through payroll deductions before the summer break begins.

(b) Employees who are on unpaid leave status who do not return to Tribal employment at the start of the new school year will need to reimburse the Tribe for any and all benefits paid in their behalf during that time.

(2) Other Benefits. Other benefits are subject to specific requirements to their plans. [Res. 2022-10-016 § 1, 2022.]
