Because of the grant funding for the Head Start Program, a majority of the Head Start employees are on unpaid leave status during the school summer break every year and they are eligible to return to work at the end of the summer break. The Senior Human Resources Officer will notify such employees in writing 30 days before the anticipated date of the unpaid leave and provide information on additional payments staff members need to make to cover their portion of health insurance premiums over the summer.
