(1) The following penalties may be assessed against a respondent who violates a no-contact order:

(a) Exclusion from specified Tribal properties;

(b) Exclusion from all Tribal lands;

(c) Fines, which may be deducted from any monetary payments made by the Samish Indian Nation to the respondent; and

(d) Referral to the Tribal Court for imposition of civil penalties.

(2) Repeated violations of a no-contact order by a respondent may result in elevated penalties.

(3) Nothing in this policy shall prevent a Tribal employee from seeking other protective or remedial measures against an individual who has engaged in threats, intimidation, harassment or violence against them. [Res. 2021-12-030 § 7, 2021.]
