(1) Samish PRC will cover outpatient mental health treatment services. After six visits the therapist must provide a diagnosis and justification for further treatment if recommended. After an additional six visits, the same protocol is required. Payment for inpatient mental health treatment will be determined on a case-by-case basis and reviewed by the Samish Health Director. An assessment is required from the referring provider as a condition of approval.

(2) Samish PRC will cover substance abuse/chemical dependency for 30 days of inpatient treatment services as listed below. Please note all treatment must take place in the state of Washington.

(3) For the first inpatient treatment request, Samish PRC will pay 80 percent of the cost and the client will be responsible for the remaining 20 percent. If the client voluntarily leaves the program prior to full completion, the client will not be eligible for further PRC coverage of inpatient treatment services until six months from the time the client left the program.

(4) For the second inpatient treatment request, Samish PRC will pay 60 percent of the cost and the client will be responsible for the remaining 40 percent. If the client voluntarily leaves the program prior to full completion, the client will not be eligible for further PRC coverage of inpatient treatment services until six months from the time the client left the program.

(5) For the third inpatient treatment request, Samish PRC will pay 50 percent of the cost and the client will be responsible for the remaining 50 percent. If the client voluntarily leaves the program prior to full completion, the client will not be eligible for further PRC coverage of inpatient treatment services.
