10.20.290 Durable Medical Equipment.
This section is included in your selections.
(1) The Samish Indian Tribe PRC program will provide limited coverage for durable medical equipment (DME) up to $500.00 annually. The following conditions must be met to qualify for this benefit:
(a) The DME must be prescribed by a medical provider that is preapproved by Samish PRC.
(b) The DME must be used for a medical reason.
(c) The DME should have an expected life of three years.
(2) The following items are not considered durable medical equipment and are excluded from the benefit:
(a) Over-the-counter supplies such as wound dressing, face masks, incontinence pads, etc.
(3) Prior authorization by Samish PRC is required before equipment is purchased. [Res. 2020-10-013 § 2, 2020.]
