The Tribal Council of the Samish Indian Nation is authorized under Article IV, Section 3 and Article VI, Section 2 of the Tribe’s Constitution to exercise legislative authority of the Tribe and to enact an ordinance to protect the cultural heritage and teachings of the Tribe and to prevent the loss of tribal assets.
