(1) Each standing committee is responsible for selecting a chair from its members; provided, that Tribal Council members who are committee members may not serve as committee chair. Committee members who are elected to the Tribal Council while serving on a standing committee may serve the rest of their term on the committee but not as committee chair. The chair shall be responsible for providing notice of dates, times and places of meetings to the Tribal office and to committee members as set forth in STC 2.40.080, and responsible for establishing the agenda for each meeting and ensuring committee meetings are conducted in an orderly and courteous manner. The committee chair shall work with the appropriate assigned Tribal staff with regard to development of the committee agenda. Committee chairs shall preside over all meetings of the committee or shall appoint a vice-chairman to preside over a committee meeting if he or she is unable to attend.

(2) Committee chairs are responsible for the conduct of committee meetings and may require anyone in attendance disrupting the meeting to be removed. [Res. 2023-10-012 § 2.409, 2023.]
