All committee members are expected to carry out the duties and responsibilities as a committee member in a professional and courteous manner in order to allow the committee to complete its work. Committee members must comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures of the Samish Indian Nation. Each member is expected to attend all committee meetings. A member shall notify the committee chair prior to any meeting they will not attend, with a valid excuse. Three unexcused absences during a member’s term shall constitute a violation of this chapter. Information and materials obtained during the course of work on the committee may contain confidential and sensitive information. Committee members in performing their work on the committee must maintain the confidentiality of such material and information and are prohibited from disclosing such information without the authorization of the Tribal Council.

A member of the committee may be removed for failing to meet the standards of conduct as provided in STC 2.40.170. [Res. 2023-10-012 § 2.413, 2023.]
